             Nanette Vicknair is the last of the Vicknair mediums to be single. She's been too busy fighting to save their ancestral home to think of love. She has also been fighting a bitter war against Charles Roussel, the man who has been hell-bent on destroying the plantation-- and the man who took her virginity twelve years before. While she's been showing him little but anger, inside she's having trouble smothering her lust.
          Charles doesn't really want her plantation razed. He's kept up his attack against the plantation to stay connected to Nanette. After taking her virginity so long ago, he left and didn't come back for many years, never telling her why he stayed away. For whatever odd reason, he thinks if he fights with her long enough, she'll stop resisting her feelings for him. But then he is in a car accident, leaving him unconscious and fighting for his life. Now the plans he set in motion to destroy the plantation cannot be stopped or derailed... but he can communicate with Nanette in spirit form and tell her how she might save her ancestral home.
         This final volume in the Sexth Sense series can stand alone, but fans who have followed the series from the beginning will adore this payoff to a relationship that has been building since the series' first book. This mixture of passion and the paranormal is a wonderful read!

        Jenee Vicknair is the youngest of the Vicknair mediums. The souls she  helps to cross over are children, and she knows she's about to help a new  soul when she becomes suddenly, overwhelmingly tired and has to sleep. She  sees her new soul in a dream, but this is not her usual soul. He's fully  grown, totally hot, and his eyes are turquoise, which means he's not dead.  They cannot hear each other speak, but they can communicate sexually, which  they most definitely do.
        Nick Madere is a psychic with an unusual talent: When he looks at  a photograph, he sees what the subject of the picture sees. After his family  died in Hurricane Katrina, he can't look at their pictures any more, because  then he would see their deaths. He uses his gift to find missing children,  but every time he tries to see where his latest child, Emma, is, he sees  this gorgeous brunette instead. While he finds her irresistible, he needs to  know how she's connected to Emma. Is she involved in the girl's  disappearance?
        Although the circumstances surrounding Emma's case are  distressing and heartbreaking, this is the best book to date in Kelley St. John's Sexth Sense series. Readers will certainly enjoy watching this appealing couple solve the case and find each other.
