Lakeshore Christmas

After an emotionally scarring semester abroad, Maureen Davenport changed her major and became a librarian in the comforts of her home town of Avalon, New York. But now her beloved library is in danger of closing, and short of a financial miracle, she will be looking for a job after the end of the year. In the meantime, she is tackling the annual Christmas pageant. She is co-directing with Eddie Haven, and this is a challenge on many levels.
Eddie is a former child star whose movie The Christmas Caper, a holiday classic, has just been re-released as a twenty-fifth anniversary DVD, bringing him back into the spotlight. He's a recovering alcoholic, and after he crashed his car into the nativity scene years ago, the judge mandated his involvement in the pageant. He hates Christmas and is conflicted about his parents, and working with uptight Christmas lover Maureen is aggravating, but he slowly realizes that he's attracted to her. She thinks they're opposites, and she doesn't date, but can her heart and the library both be saved? A mysterious boy with an angelic voice might be able to help.
Like all the books in the Lakeshore Chronicles, this tale can stand alone, but fans of the series will love to visit with the people of Avalon, and will really enjoy visiting with Daisy, Logan and Julian, whose stories are still unfolding. Readers will wish this wonderful town and its inhabitants were real and will relish every minute of time spent there. As a bonus, several tempting recipes are included in an appendix.
