Ava Gray ~~4 1/2 and 5 Star Reviews
Neva is a small town vet. She is working herself to a frazzle when a good‑looking man shows up needing a job. Zeke used to be a normal man. Then they kidnapped him. He was experimented on and tortured until he became more animal than human. Finally, he escaped and, slowly, worked his way home. He can barely tolerate being around others, but needs money to survive and applies for a job at Neva's clinic.
Neva hires him and finds herself struggling to keep her hands off of him. The last thing she needs is a sexual harassment lawsuit! Little does she know that Zeke is having the same struggle. Neva saves the lives of three newborn kittens, but couldn't save the momma cat. Now she is on round‑the‑clock kitten duty. The pipes burst in her apartment, forcing her to find someplace else to stay for a few days. Estranged from her family, she can't go home. When Zeke offers to let her and the kitties stay in his guest room, she agrees. Meanwhile a serial killer is creeping closer. He can't rest until Neva is dead. Can Zeke use his animal instincts to keep his woman safe?
This is a continuation of a series that can be read alone. Be warned, there is vulgar language sprinkled throughout this really good book.
