Beverly Barton~~ 4 1/2 and 5 Star Reviews

When Audrey Sherrod was a little girl, her little brother was kidnapped right from their house. She's never forgot little Blake. That same year five other children were also kidnapped.
Today, Audrey is a grief counselor who works with the police at times.
Special Agent J.D. Cass also works with the police and thinks that Audrey is a pain. When they're both called upon to help on a case where a serial killer murders women and poses them in a rocking chair with the skeletal remains of toddlers in their arms, they know that it's only the beginning. They also know the rocking chair murders are related to what happened years ago when those children were kidnapped.
J.D. is a single father who asks Audrey to help with his daughter Zoe, and as time goes on, J.D. and Audrey can't help the attraction they feel for each other. When they get closer to the killer, it becomes more twisted than either Audrey or J.D. even realizes and as their attraction for each other grows, the serial killer is getting closer and closer.
Don't Cry by Beverly Barton is a story of love and second chances and promises to keep the reader tightly in its grasp until the last page.

Rick Carson is hired by the Price family to investigate the death of the late Senator Dan Price. Suspicion falls on the beautiful widow who stood at the grave side and didn't shed one tear. Jordan Price either has some serious bad luck with the men in her life, or someone, possibly even her, is killing them.
Jordan, the matriarch to a large extended family and strength to all of them, holds many secrets. All of which led the authorities to believe she could be guilty of murder. Rick does everything in his power to ignore his attraction to the widow, even when he realizes she holds the same feelings toward him. Bad timing, however, never stops love.
Cold Hearted kept me riveted from page one. Set in a mansion with an endless list of suspects and motives kept me guessing who the killer was up until the very end. Ms. Barton breathes life into the romance and sexual tension between two characters who truly meet each other at the wrong time and place in each others' life. This was a suspenseful thrill ride all the way through with enough love to satisfy any romance reader's desire. If suspense is your thing, do not walk, but run to the bookstore to pick up Cold Hearted.
