Devyn Quinn ~~4 1/2 and 5 Star Reviews
All Gwen ever wanted was to be normal. Unfortunately, she is a mermaid. Now that the government has discovered the existence of the Mer, any hope of normality is gone. The feds are both intrigued by and frightened of the Mer--not a good combo. Gwen; her sisters, Addison and Tessa; and Tessa's husband, Kenneth; are all taken into protective custody. Supposedly it's to keep them safe from the Mer that attacked Gwen's home. In reality, they are considered subjects for the scientists to observe and experiment on, not the way Tessa planned on spending her honeymoon.
Blake is a fed. He was on Little Mer Island when the mermaid soldiers attacked. The Mer need to capture Tessa, and they don't care who they have to kill to do it. She is the only one who can reopen the sea gate to the Mer home world. At first Blake is furious that he isn't allowed to leave the base where the sisters are being held. But as he spends time with Gwen, he finds himself falling from lust straight into love. Now if only he can get the love of his life free from the government's greedy hands.
This is a continuation of a series that can be read alone. Although there is a sprinkling of vulgar language, this is a really good book.
