Years after Hurricane Katrina, Mira Gallier is still trying to put her life back together. Since losing her husband in the storm, she has poured her energy into her stained glass work. However, in the course of a week a long-lost friend of her husband, Connor Scott, re‑enters her life, one of her beautiful windows is vandalized in a church, and the priest is murdered.
That is the beginning of a string of murders all of which seemed to be tied to Mira in some way. Of course, she begins to be scared for her own life and is not sure whom she can trust. When she starts receiving mysterious "messages" from her dead husband, she starts to wonder if maybe she's a bit crazy. She grows closer to Connor, but is not entirely sure she can trust him, as he reveals secrets about her husband that she doesn't want to believe. But she has to trust someone because it looks like she could become the next victim!
This is a great mystery, which makes readers think they have it all figured out, only for the story to twist in an unexpected way. With a little romance thrown in, it makes for a book that is hard to put down.
