****1/2

Tara Holloway lost her job as an IRS Special Agent and was now looking for a job. She was wondering who was assigned to her two big international cases when her boyfriend Nick admitted that they had been given to him. Lucky, because Tara was going to go to Japan and India to be a consultant in an unofficial capacity.
Attempting to find a job had been difficult because of the shooting she had been involved with and the reasoning behind the loss of her job. She received a call from the Department of Justice blatantly hinting that she was being charged with using excessive force to apprehend a suspect. Then she was served and was being sued with the same charges. So much for her trip to Japan.
Death, Taxes and Green Tea Ice Cream is pure Diane Kelly-- witty, remarkable, and ever so entertaining.

***1/2

Tara Holloway, IRS agent with the Criminal Investigation Department, and Eddie Bardin were assigned a case involving money-laundering terrorist. Entertaining themselves at work the agents, excluding Tara, decided to join a dating forum. The problem with that was Tara did not want Nick Pratt to find someone else.
She wanted Nick only for herself, not finding his ex or any other woman who was not her. However, if she was going to keep him for herself, she had to break up with the sweetest guy in the world. Only going borderline stalker … was not what she exactly had in mind. Nick wasn’t exactly pleased when he caught her either. She finally convinced him that she was game on their relationship, events kept getting in the way and she had to keep postponing her talk with Brett.
A peach of a story, a well-crafted tale that is sure to please the Tara Holloway fans and anyone looking for a clever adventurous read.

Death, Texas and a Skinny No-Whip Latte is the second book in the "Tara Holloway" mystery series. Tara is an IRS agent who uses her financial and ballistic skills to chase criminal tax offenders for a living. She loves her job, is happy in her blooming relationship with a hunky landscaper, Brett, and absolutely adores lattes, preferably with whip cream and caramel drizzle on top.
Her newest case involves a Mexican national who is running illegal businesses on the Texas side of the Mexican border and leaving a trail of body parts in his wake. Mendoza is a hard man to pin down, but Tara is determined to solve this case.
Death, Texas and a Skinny No-Whip Latte was utterly hilarious. The writing flows with plenty of laugh out loud scenes, and Diane Kelly manages to make tax investigations surprisingly interesting. Tara is credible in her role as a federal agent, despite her laughable capers and gaffes. Kelly gives the reader a plenty of romance and sexual tension, although the mystery stays in the forefront. This sophomore outing in the Tara Holloway series will appeal to finds of wacky cozy mysteries like the "Stephanie Plum" series by Janet Evanovich.
