Joss Ware ~~ 4 1/2 and 5 Star Reviews
In 2010, Wyatt and his friends were in a cave in Sedona when the world as they knew it ended. Fifty years later they came out of some sort of stasis to find that though they have not aged, nothing of their world is left outside that cave. Wyatt spends the next year grieving, missing his wife and children and wishing he were the one who had died.
Remington "Remy" Truth has had her own hard journey. Her grandfather was one of the men who destroyed the world. Before he died, he gave her a crystal and told her to protect it. And she has done this, even while on the run and even while she is held captive. Now the zombies and the Strangers who want it are closing in. Can she trust Wyatt to help her, or is he just
another person bent on capturing her or the crystal?
Joss Ware's "Envy" series has been a magnificent thrill ride from the start. Now Wyatt and the long-mysterious Remy have their story told, and while their romance is not always satisfying, this story's plot is always riveting.

Fence was a guide who fell unconscious with his group in a Sedona cave. When they woke up several months later, they discovered that fifty years had gone by as they slept in a sort of stasis, and the world they knew was gone. Now they are in New Vegas, or Envy, the only sizable settlement left in this post-apocalyptic world.
Fence is somewhat of a ladies' man with no interest in finding "the one." But he is mesmerized from first sight by Ana. She's attracted, too, but she has secrets too dangerous to share. For she is from Atlantis, and the crystals embedded in her skin are evidence of her heritage. She must hide the crystals that allow her to breathe underwater, which means no getting naked with Fence. But then an Atlantean washes up on the shore, and Ana's secrets must be revealed.Joss Ware's latest is the fifth book in a series. While it stands alone quite well, readers will want to read every book in the “Envy Chronicles.” Ware's post-apocalyptic world is a dark and scary place with formidable enemies, but her small crew of heroes and heroines help to temper the bleakness with hope. Fence and Ana are complicated characters with secrets and demons, and their sexual connection lights up the night.
