Nikolai Volkov was a vampire and close friend of Leonardo da Vinci. When Nikolai asked his friend to paint a portrait of a woman by memory, he agreed with one condition--to know the story behind it. The portrait was of a woman who continued to torture Nikolai. Lucrezia Borgia was the woman who turned him.
Present day: Devane Redding was at the art gallery when a simply mesmerizing man approached her. Nikolai was thrilled, he met the incredible artist Devane Redding and found himself as attracted to her as she was to him. Instinct told him she was in danger, and he would do everything in his power to protect her. He just need to figure out what or who was threatening his Devane.
Margot Justes sculpted this story like the finest connoisseur--witty, delicious, and an utterly fascinating read.
