Love Your Entity
Cat Devon
St. Martin's
Trade Paperback

Sierra Brennan saw dead people. Paranormal abilities ran in her family, but Sierra had learned at an early age to not tell anyone she could see ghosts. When she opened the door to her great‑uncle's house in Chicago to fulfill the terms of his will, she did not expect to be confronted by a large, angry, very naked man yelling at her, not to mention the ghost in the lingerie who kept saying, "Thank goodness you’re here."  Sierra was an author of paranormal novels and had just come off a grueling book signing tour. She was tired and knew she wasn’t going anywhere. She couldn’t. The terms of her uncle’s will stated that, to inherit the house, the occupant had to stay in residence for 30 consecutive days. Sierra was determined to stay, no matter what Ruby, the resident ghost, or this stranger, who claimed to be the owner of the house, said. And why did he keep staring at her and yelling, "Be gone!
Ronan McCoy couldn’t believe this was happening to him. He had been an indentured vampire to Baron Voz for over a hundred years and had just been freed. Voz had freed him on the condition that he could save his sister’s soul by finding a hidden key, and then he would be permanently freed. If he failed, he would be indentured to Voz for eternity. He only had a limited amount of time to find that key, so he was not happy to be confronted by some crazy woman who kept looking at something over his shoulder and, apparently, couldn’t be compelled because she was definitely not leaving.
Love Your Entity is a rollicking, feel‑good, vampire, murder mystery all rolled into one enjoyable read. For an all powerful vampire, Ronan is totally out of his league in dealing with Sierra, who doesn’t react like she should when she discovers he’s a vampire and the section of Chicago she lives in is called Vamptown. Ms. Devon’s talented writing immediately pulls the reader into the hilarious situation of Sierra and Ronan and the added suspense of solving a Prohibition‑era murder mystery is just delicious icing on the cake.

The Entity Within

Mass Market
Zoe and her grandmother are witches. Their coven "encouraged" them to leave Boston immediately. Luckily, Grandma Irma has a friend who is willing to let them stay in his rental house. Zoe is so relieved to have a place to go that she doesn’t ask many questions. Big mistake!
Damon is the head of security for the community to which Zoe and Irma move. He’s a very tall, very dark, very handsome vampire. He’s also a very angry vampire! Unbeknownst to Zoe, their new home is in the middle of Vamp Central.  All vampires hate witches and Damon more than most. Centuries ago he was betrayed by one. To make matters worse, Irma accidentally released several demons.  The first thing the demons did was possess Zoe and try to kill Damon. For some reason this made Damon even angrier!
All Zoe needs to do is find the book Irma used to free the demons, a book that’s now invisible; use it to banish the demons. And most importantly, don’t fall in love with the angry vampire, no matter how good he kisses!
This is a continuation of a series that can be read alone. But why deny yourself the pleasure? This book is filled with snappy dialogue that is reminiscent of some of the great black and white movies of yesteryear. It’s a fantastic book!
