Gaelen Foley~~4 1/2 and 5 Star Reviews
The Secrets of a Scoundrel
Gin Stokes, Lady Burke, wants to save abducted girls from a terrible fate. To do this, she needs specialized help, and she knows just where to find it. Her father was head of a secretive group called the Order, and one of their highly trained agents is in an Order prison. She will free him if he will help her achieve her mission.
Nick, Baron Forrester, just wants to get out of the Order and run away to the wilds of America. But no one leaves the Order, so he sits in prison. Then Gin sets him free. She’s a temptation, but his sense of self worth is low, and he believes she thinks little of him as well. He couldn’t be more wrong--she fears his influence on her impressionable young son who dreams of being an Order agent and would be ripe for hero worship of a man such as Nick.
Gaelen Foley winds up her "Inferno Club" series with this stellar tale. Nick and Gin are excellent, well layered characters, and readers will root for their happy ending. Gin’s son is a fabulous addition to the tale, and some readers will recognize the dynamic between mother and son. And the plot resonates with frequently unpredictable excitement.

Emily Harper may not have noble lineage, but she is a loyal supporter for those she loves. Childhood companion Drake, the Earl of Westwood, is someone she has loved for a long time, though she knows she is far beneath him in social status. Though few know it, Drake is part of the Order, an organization of spies fighting the evil Promethians, whose plan is to take over the world. Now Drake is thought to have turned to the dark side, but Emily saved his life with a pitched potato, and now she has followed him to faraway Bavaria to rescue him.
Hideous torture broke Drake's mind, leaving him thinking he is one of the Promethians and achieving a trusted position as a senior member's bodyguard. Now his memory has returned, but his state of mind is bleak. Now Emily is trapped in Waldfort Castle with him. He must find a way to get her out, for he has little hope of getting out alive when the Promethians must be destroyed, even if it means his own life. But Emily is determined save the life of the man she loves.
This fourth entry in Gaelen Foley's "Inferno Club" series is an exciting and emotionally grueling tale. Drake is often in a dark place, but readers will be driven to find hope at the end of the road.

Kidnapped, drugged and given as a gift to a beastly duke, Kate Madsen refuses to be any man's sacrifice. Yet Rohan Kilburn, the Duke of Warrington, is no ordinary man. When he discovers that Kate is not a harlot willing to give him her body, he swears revenge on those who thought to deceive him and dishonor her. As an assassin for the infamous Infernal Club, Rohan is uniquely qualified to bring justice to the men behind Kate's abduction. In seeking answers, Rohan learns that Kate is more than just a beautiful woman, but daughter to a notorious pirate and a direct descendent to the men he has sworn to kill.
This edge-of-your-seat historical romance is packed full of adventure, a feisty heroine and a hero who desperately needs a woman to unlock his heart. I love how Kate is no man's fool. She's smart, pragmatic and perfect for the hero. Ms. Foley keeps you turning pages without misunderstandings between the characters, which is often rare in historical romances. From kidnapping to treasure hunts, this is an absolute must read.
