Teri Riggs Spotlight Interview

 

Teri writes both contemporary and historical western romantic suspense. She also writes paranormal romance (her first PNR came out last year). All of her stories have HEA endings. She lives in Marietta GA with her husband of 48 years and two small puppies, Winnie and Bella. Of course, the puppies think they run the house, which they do. Teri also has three grown daughters and six grand-blessings that she dotes on.

When she’s not writing, she loves to spend time with her family and spoil the grands. She also loves to read and paint.

 

Tell us about the genre(s) you write and the type of characters you love to write about.

I love strong female heroines and Alpha heroes that melt for the women they love. With the exception of my romantic comedy, Sex In The Crazy Zone, I write romantic suspense into any book I write.

 

Do you have a new book or series?

My newest series is a historical romantic suspense and is based on The Blue Stocking Society. Fanny’s the third and final book in a trilogy coming in 2025.

Which tasks/projects do you find you tend to procrastinate on and why?

 I haven’t been writing much lately. Life has been getting in the way and giving me a lot of procrastination excuses.

 

If you had to pick any character in one of your books, who is most similar to you, who would you choose? Why?

I would have to say the mom in Sex In The Crazy Zone. Most moms and dads have had to sneak in a little private time for each other when their kids were little. 

 

If you were transported to the setting of the book you're currently reading or writing, where would you be?

On the beach.

 

If you saw a doorway/portal in the middle of the forest, would you enter it?

No.

 

What do you wish you were better at?

Keeping to a writing schedule.

 

What is something you say a lot?

Oh good Lord.

 

What do you do when no one is around?

Read. Maybe sneak in a nap.

 

When running away for fun, where can you most likely be found?

The beach.

 

Where is one place you don't like to be?

The dentist or doctor.

 

You get in trouble, who are you most likely with?

My sister/bestie.

 

What are one of your quirks?

Nothing I can think of.

 

Will you be attending any book signings or conventions?

I will be at Space Coast Book Lovers, and all three of the TropiCons, St. Augustine, Pensacola Beach, and Branson, this year.
