Spotlight On Ms. December Teri Riggs

 

Teri Riggs lives in Georgia with her hubby whom she's been with since they were fifteen. All three of her daughters and their families live within 10 minutes of their home. Having them all so near is a mother’s dream come true! She writes romantic suspense and historical romantic suspense and also has a paranormal trilogy she's working on. 

 

Do you have a new book or series?

I have the third book in a historical western romantic suspense trilogy coming out. The books follow three women who find help from the Blue Stocking Society shortly after the Civil War ends. The BSS was a group of women who helped other women attend college who otherwise couldn’t afford to go. 

If you were transported to the setting of the book you're currently reading or writing, where would you be?

In a small town called Colby Springs. 

How do you name your characters?

When I can’t think of a name I like I look through a book of baby names. 

 

What part of the book was the most fun to write?

 

I’m a sucker for HEA and love writing the endings.

  

Where and when would you travel to if you were given a time machine?

 

I’d travel back in time to my teenage years. I’d like to be able to hear more of the stories about my parents growing up. I’d spend more time with them.

 

What do you do when you can’t quite get into writing mode?

 

I find other things to do around the house. Mostly I read.

 

What do you like to do when it’s time to kick back?

 

Hang out with my girls and grandblessings. Family is everything to me.

 

Is there something you’ve always wanted to learn to do?

 

Play piano.

Will you be attending any book signings or conventions?  

So far I’ve only signed up for Space Coast Book Lovers next June. I try to attend 3-4 a year.
